Tucked away in a well-tended, old fashioned garden full of exotic flowers, creepers, shrubs and fruit trees the house will sleep five in comfort in one double, one twin and one single bedroom, with space for a sixth person on the pull-out bed in the single room. A bathroom with walk-in dressing room is on the same floor. Downstairs the spacious living room, with open fireplace for log fires on winter evenings, has French windows opening on to the garden. The large, well-equipped kitchen has an integral dining area and separate laundry room next to the second bathroom. A cheerful maid service is provided by Ciseltine. Neighbouring owner Joy, who adopted Madeira as her home 26 years ago and has had years of experience in the hospitality industry, offers a holiday home which is comfortable and luxurious.

Local amenities:
Nearby are two small corner shops suitable for basic supplies and fresh bread, local bus stop and taxi stand. Within a ten-minute walk there are three restaurants and a pharmacy. Funchal centre is 1.6 kms downhill, 25 minutes walk or 10 minutes by local bus. The town has a beautiful market and well-stocked supermarkets, many good restaurants and plenty of interesting things to see and do – see local area description under ‘island information’ on this website.
